Collaborating with Jatiyo Mohila Songstha’s Tottho Apa project, Comjagat has empowered women entrepreneurs across Bangladesh. LaalSobuj.com, an online marketplace dedicated to rural women, serves over 20,000 sellers, with more than 50 e-commerce websites tailored specifically for women-owned businesses. This initiative provides essential resources, digital tools, and training, empowering women to become successful e-commerce entrepreneurs.

Digital Polli: Empowering Rural Bangladesh through Digital Commerce

The majority of Bangladesh’s population resides in its 68,000 villages, each playing a pivotal role in the nation’s economy. Recognizing that national progress is inseparable from rural development, the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh, supported by the ICT Business Promotion Council (IBPC) under the Ministry of Commerce, introduced the “Digital Commerce Village” initiative. This program aims to establish model villages across the country, where entrepreneurs and residents can access the full benefits of e-commerce, creating “Digital Pollis” as hubs of economic empowerment.


Comjagat Technologies played an instrumental role in supporting this project, helping Digital Polli earn the prestigious Digital Bangladesh Award in 2022.

Success Stories

  1. In 2022, the first Digital Polli was established in Saturia, Manikganj, empowering 200 weavers and entrepreneurs to leverage e-commerce. Following this success, additional Digital Pollis have been established in Damudya, Shariatpur; Sonagazi, Feni; Rangpur; and Singra, Natore.
