The majority of Bangladesh’s population resides in its 68,000 villages, each playing a pivotal role in the nation’s economy. Recognizing that national progress is inseparable from rural development, the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh, supported by the ICT Business Promotion Council (IBPC) under the Ministry of Commerce, introduced the “Digital Commerce Village” initiative. This program aims to establish model villages across the country, where entrepreneurs and residents can access the full benefits of e-commerce, creating “Digital Pollis” as hubs of economic empowerment.
Comjagat Technologies played an instrumental role in supporting this project, helping Digital Polli earn the prestigious Digital Bangladesh Award in 2022.
